UNTILL WHEN IN
THE DARK TUNNEL?
For over three decades, the Eritrea population was
subjected to the most tyrannical treatments from successive defunct
Ethiopian regimes. The damage incurred during these period, the mode of
our life and our economy was incalculable. How ever we remain through out
this period steadfast, resolute and continued with gallant struggle to
liberate our country, to restore our dignity and build our lives. The
optimism was fortified by the just and noble on which we embarked on 1961,
and have relentlessly laboured risking limb and life, until, against all
odds, finally emerged triumphant.
The liberation of the country by the Eritrean forces
should have marked the beginning of an era. An era of national
reconciliation, infra-structural reconstruction an era of peace and
fraternity. The liberation of Eritrea would have afforded us to heal
wounds and to renew our hopes and aspiratism. It was an opportunity that
we should have seized whole-heartedly to take our place among the states
of other nations in the world and constructively involve us self into the
role of erecting a progressive and democratic Eritrea.
Unfortunately, our dreams have been frustrated and
our hopes have been dashed since the inception of the isolationist
dictatorial rule of the Eritrean People Liberation Front (EPLF), which
henceforth, unleashed various an uncalled-for conflicts and a chain of
wars against Eritrean’s and all neighbours.
Since the EPLF inaugurated itself as the sole
authority of the state of Eritrea our top duty become, mass arrests,
killing and disappearance of schoolteachers, ELF members and supporters,
innocent civilians who opposed any of the regimes’ policies. Moreover,
forced military conscription of young women, resettlement of the
pastoralists against our wish and distribution of our land to members of
the ruling party has been committed in regular basis.
The regimes’ atrocities do not stop at victimising
and terrorising individuals outside its party, but also went far beyond to
include former genuine.
To those who are interested on Eritrea and those who
have the same dream as me.

Why Isayas split from ELF?
2
Why he doesn’t want other political groups?
3
Why make us busy by war?
4
Why he arrested opposition group?
5
Why he arrested journalists?
6
Why our people still escape to abroad?
7
Because of whom we are in the dark tunnel?
8
Why….etc.
Everyone have answer for those questions. Some might
be in favour and others against, but it is important for every Eritean to
have an answer for those questions.
