ELF-RC UNDER TALENTED AND EXPERIENCED LEADERSHIP

            The Unisom conclusion of ELF-RC meeting might have come as surprise for those who were expecting the division of ELF-RC.  Many may choose not to believe it, but ELF-RC leaders are the best and experienced leaders and above all have the courage to speak out the truth. 

For the past few years, we were searching for an Eritrean talented and experienced leaders who can revive our weakened moral and lift-up our sprint.  We must admit that the most talented leaders who can solve problems are RCs.   The RC are thoughtful, committed and experienced leaders.  As Margart Mead said  “Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful and committed citizens can change the world”.  This, to a large extent, has helped the RC to establish horizontal communications, mutual respect and understanding which in turn has enabled them pause and reflect on the political paths they individually adopted.  It is this conductive situation that RCs fruitfully engaged in dialogues on the national level. 

            All involved in the struggle to assist in realizing the full potentials of the Eritrean opposition are fully cognizant of the complex difficulties involved pushing for the unity of the organization. Suffice to say in spite of the many difficulties of material and financial hardships, we are reaching the eve of our journey.  Once again, expectations are rising, at home and abroad.  The profile of the opposition is on the uprising internationally.  The sight of our organization is in clear view.  No one would more proud of that unity day than patriotic countrymen who have been sacrificing their time and energy to restore the unity and dignity of our people.  The RC have pledged to stay on the journey until our people become free from forced division and imposed dictatorship of PFDJ. 

            The bickering among the ELF-RC members were a big worries for ELF-RC friends and a big hope for those who want to see ELF-RC weakened.  Some of them were dreaming to see the division of ELF-RC.  However, thanks to the talented and experienced leaders, their speculation became walking sleep dreams. The PFDJ and ENA cronies went ballistic when they read the RC statement of the 11 days constructive dialogues.  The RC believed these problems can and must be solved by peaceful political and democratic means and they went with that.  They always re-examine their plans and strategies if it had worked or not.  I believe without any doubt that the RC are a hard working leaders, genuine, natural, and unique politicians Eritrea has never seen will be an asset in future administration. 

            Certainty full of confidence, intellectual convection, and desire to please their mass organizations are among the skills of the ELF-RC leadership.  Those who don not like what they see in ELF-RC should always use not hate words or written publications but their vote to challenge ELF-RC practice.  In case they do not know that, it is called democracy.

Hence, if any one is isolated from reality, if any one is detached from plain commonsense, it is not only Isaias Afewerki and his cronies for the past 12 years.  It is also the those who puffed-up individuals like Bashi(Redie) and the so called ENA Involvement who are talking gibberish the whole year.  We must not also forget these useless opportunities individuals’ background.  As a result they are sleep walking into a reckless war of division in and out of the oppressed, looted, diseased infected and starved Eritreans.  History is littered with examples of failed generals likes that PFDJ and others who lost many battles because they prepared for the last war instead of the next one.  Some ELF-RC members in Germany caught up with their needs to differentiate themselves from RCs.  It has become silly because ELF-RC seemed to have grown out of ENA stupid game.   Throughout the year, these lawless individuals sought to differ themselves by playing between the RC leader similar to what they are doing at the moment.  At the same time, they are carrying out hate campaigns and biting the drums of war against the chairman. 

            There is a great panic in these individuals that ELF-RC is getting stronger and popular while they consistently failed to make any impact.  Therefore, unless these individuals make major change fast, they will be in the contest for less time than Saddam Hussien’s angry therapist. If these individuals supported ELF-RC’s stand for peace and reconciliation and unity, they would have been in a position to show the people of Eritrea a better way of struggle.  Instead, they refused to support and accused RC then called for unity.  That did not look a clear and truthful strategic vision of democratic system. 

            The sobs we hear are the noises of weak that has been hurt by ELF-RC’s Progress and popularity. Why can’t these people behave more truthfully and sensibly?  People trapped in self-destructive cycles of rules of law often want to get out of trap, but can’t. 

            In my humble opinion, honest and unbiased political judgment, we have an excellent democratic multi-ethnic organization and better future with ELF-RC.  Therefore, we rally round behind our leaders who listen their members.

            The importance of unity and common program of action by all members should established.  No one expects that ELF-RC will compromise its principles and organizational program for temporary gain.  It is my hope that all members of ELF-RC will be categorized as good to its devoted to helping as Eritrean that is free, democratic, prosperous, and talent, capable of taking care of the needs and aspirations of the many nationalities of Eritrean entity.  Let us be involved in activities that help the success of the revolution and unite our people.  The cheers and celebrations will soon follow.
