Message of condolence

The news of the untimely death of our sister Adhanet Andu shocked everyone who knew her both as a good human being and as someone who was always firm in what she believed. Indeed, she was a modern day fire - brand revolutionary woman who relentlessly fought a multiple pronged war for liberation, independence and women's emancipation among others. When it comes to anything pertaining to women's movement, the name "Adhanet Andu" holds a special place in the history of the history of the Eritrean struggle. I share the pain and grief that befell the Bahdurai family in general and Andu family in particular. My heart goes out to her son Adal Tesfai and her sisters,Ghidei and Saba. Also my sympathy goes to bizai Tesfai Teclezghi.

Adhanet will be greatly missed but her strong spirit will live with us all. May she rest in peace.

Asfaha W. Michael. New Jersey.
