CONCLUDING STATEMENT: |

A TRIBUTE TO MARTYR MICHEAL GHABER Death is inevitable, it is a cycle of life, but Micheal Ghaber’s death came too early in my opinion. It was a shock for me when I heard his martyrdom 13 years ago and had no other information on how he died. Thank you Woldesus for the information and the recognition you gave Micheal that he deserves. I knew Micheal since the late 1960s in Addis and worked with him as high school teacher in Eritrea and as a member of the Eritrean revolution assigned at the Eritrean refugee high school in Kassala. Micheal ghaber was a resource person on matters of the Eritrean armed struggle while he was in Addis Abbaba and in the Eritrean field. He was one of the people who could give us the whole picture of the Eritrean armed struggle with no bias. He was the head of the history section of the curriculum committee besides being a principal of the refugee high school and history teacher. In the history book the history curriculum committee wrote, he prepared the chapter on the Eritrean Armed struggle. I asked him why he did not write the chapter in detail and he said “ It won’t be fair to write details at this time before all the historical facts are in, but I promise I will after liberation”. Who ever killed Micheal Ghaber robed the Eritrean young generation that promise. I was always looking for information on where about his surviving family is. I am glad to know they are in safe area and are doing okay. I would like to say to Waini Micheal Ghaber congratulations on her wedding ceremony and hi to Gimja. Loving hearts remember.
