DO WE NEED
M-PARTY AND DEMOCRACY OR
REFORMATION
OF INDIVIDUAL MINDS AS WELL?
Whenever you
open an Internet it is just a usual morning song like the so commonly
saying, song of Solomon, Democracy.. Democracy…m-party m- party … what
a boring! The sole thing is, we Eritreans, we are all the time with
fruitless emotions and zero pride while we are still poor economically
and not well versed in modern politics and the most and worst of all
issues is knowing that we have several leakages which can not be
modified and eradicated (ethnical and grouping as well as dangerous
religious issues which can not be hidden) wherever and whenever. At
least I can say signor Issays was the best doctor for it even though he
was as a wolf in a sheep skin, he used to know how to deal with it and
which way to cure it unless and otherwise I am million times certain we
couldn’t have even achieved our independence. This is a verified fact to
everyone who is aware of this issue. Apparently after our independence,
instead of surveying and meditating what is the government or the party
unto to our future, we immediately started eating each other among those
who say Issayas has both dark and sunny side (not denying the noble
credit he contributed for our freedom) and those who blindly and
emotionally worship Issayas as, let me say, abune- tecle-haimanot (while
he was still a rough diamond), and this was the result of what I am
talking about, fruitless emotion, lack of knowledge and lack of
meditating things to the depth, some were even trying to make someone as
if he is not an Eritrean when he comments perspectives which are not
right from Isaiah’s side .I remember one great Eritrean Father, who was
the victim of Ethio- Eritrean federation, saying that “we Eritreans, we
only begin but not finish”. It was just a sigh of regret ion and
annoyance because he had seen how some Eritreans were betraying their
own brothers and also the coward ness, when it comes to ethnical issues
and some provisional posts and so on. Naively, hizbawi gin bar was also
foolishly expected to do a lot with it and at that time the majority was
saying we don’t need multi party system what the hell is ELF we don’t
want 3rd columns here, they don’t have a place in Eritrea,
blah and blah (denying everything about JEBHA ABAY in it’s own times).
Much can be spoken how much we were excited, Just a galloping emotion
with no definite destination. That’s why Mr. Issayas was mad of
people’s admiration and driven to wild arrogance being well sure that he
can do whatever he wants upon the innocent people of Eritrea. Obviously
he did read the whole page of our immaturity. After even deceiving the
whole nation with tactful emotionalizing mechanism of leadership in
dictatorial administration and undiplomatic rough relations with the 1st
world and neighboring countries for several years after independence,
Recently, anyone can recall, while he was making a speech few months
before the 3rd expedition (salsay worar) in America, It was
really amazing when you see Eritreans (those who classify themselves as
intellectuals and scientists too) clapping and whistling while he was
announcing arrogantly that he is confidently ready for the most
demolishant and humiliating war against woyane , despite challenging
him with current national security issues, they were still laughing at
Eritreans whom they were undermined and humiliated by Issays for their
responsible questions. But the fact remains we were really defamed in
front of the world. What happened specifically up on the people of
girmaica, teseney and above all Barentu, I can only leave it to those
who saw that unbelievable misery up on our people, which can be left to
history. What is embarrassing, those who were making terrible noises
thinking they are absolute for supporting Isaiah’s unpopulated speech
were in the first line to tarnish Isaias’s name. But why not from the
beginning? The bottom line is still self-interest and self-righteousness
as well as zero- emotion and pride. Some were deliberately trying to
annoy the other political groups and individuals who were condemning the
war scaring the consequences and Eritrea’s political and diplomatic
failure in the world the way it happened. Still now, the worst incidence
is going on upon our family and people within Asmara and all other
districtual towns and villages. What will happen if the situation
continues like this, only God knows. Obviously, it will never be better
unless the other wise. But, are we really smartly ready to confront
this, the way we are running for fame, the way we don’t respect each
other and elders, the way we don’t respect our veteran fighters no
matter ELF or EPLF, the way we don’t listen to each other calmly and
reconcile, the way we undermine eachother, the way we leap seniority and
juniourity and the way we are so self-centered and self -righteous.
Truly it is a meditatable question for every one who sincerely dreams
democracy in Eritrea and for someone who can devote him self to envolve
in a responsible party which can serve the innocent Eritrean nation.
It is really confusing when you read unnecessary and insensitive blames
among each other and also when you see ideological imbalances, which can
jeopardize us. Who is right and who is wrong if we are really discussing
national issues in all the web sites and who is more than whom for we
are from the same grass roots? What can create extreme difference is
that some of us had taken chances because of early exile, unless and
otherwise, we are all equal more than equal, we are all poor Eritreans
that is it! So, please! please! Please! Let’s train to debate and
converge into one progressive dialectics without any grudges. Let’s stop
blind emotions that can regret us lately. Let’s take neutral ground when
we are judging among Eritrean brothers and political parties. Let’s get
away from the most harmful chronic disease of tribalism and egoism. We
should not forget our young brothers and sisters are dying like chickens
and our elder families are suffering horribly while we are indulging
ourselves in foreign countries. Let’s restrengthen and consolidate our
unity and oneness as before. Let’s cry out loudly for our people’s human
rights and freedom. PFDJ and ISAYAS will go off just like others in
history (for they are not in the right track) but what after then? Other
country’s genocide and contra-tribal matters like Rwanda and Brundi were
also the result of HATE-SPEECH. Above all we don’t have any country or
super government either from Africa or from the west that wishes our
goodness. We are the only main organs to treat our national issues just
by ourselves we should just move towards TOUR DE FORCE. At last, I
really would like to remind every one “IF WE DON’T SAY WE ARE, NO ONE
WILL SAY THESE ARE”. The world has no mercy for us in all the way, the
question and solution will remain there for us if we really think
wisely.
DREMING
