The newly elected ELF-RC leadership members currently in Khartoum on
Friday, 11 August 2006, conducted a meeting for Khartoum and Kessela
Branch members and briefed them on the outcome of the 6th
General National Congress of the organization. The briefing session in
Khartoum was opened by Mohammed Adem Artaa, Executive Committee member
and head of the newly established Office for Youth and Women’s Affairs,
who, together with RC member Sirak Zemenfes presented the highlights of
the successful organizational congress held in Ethiopia last month.

significance of the Congress decision for the establishment of an
all-inclusive mass party; the importance given by ELF-RC to the issue of
decentralization in Eritrea, and the decision related to market economy
for sustainable development in post-PFDJ Eritrea.
Held at the Youth Center in the Jiref quarter of Khartoum, the meeting
was attended by a substantially large number of ELF-RC members residing
in the southern zones of the Sudanese capital. Also attending and
contributing to the discussions on Friday were Tsegay Mezgebe, RC member
