Around 1800 demonstrators expected! Do you dare to be one of them?

Demonstration in the Hague for freedom of conscience and religion in Eritrea

 

Do you believe in freedom of conscience, then join us on November 10 in The Hague in front of the Eritrean Embassy to demonstrate peacefully against religious persecution in Eritrea.

 

More than 46.000 Dutch and foreign citizens call the Eritrean Government to release all believers and restore freedom of religion according the Eritrean Constitution.

 

A demonstration in front of the Eritrean Embassy in The Hague (The Netherlands) for religious freedom in Eritrea and the release of more than 2.000 Eritrean believers who are being kept in shipping containers and medieval prisons.

 

When?                         On Friday, November 10, 2006

Where?                        In front of the Eritrean Embassy, Nassauplein 13 in

The Hague (Den Haag)

What time?                   From 10:00 AM – 12:30 PM

Transport?                    From the central train station of Den Haag take bus nr. 5 or bus nr. 22 and leave the bus at stop Nassauplein

 

                                    From train station “Hollandse Spoor” also in The Hague, take tram nr. 17 or nr. 8 and leave the tram at stop Javastraat.

 

A special request:         If you can please come in the traditional Eritrean (habesha) dress. If not come in white dresses.

Let us walk for them since their feet are in shackles!

Let us clap for them since their hands are in shackles!

Let us read the Bible for them since their kept in darkness!

Let us sing for them since they are not allowed to sing!

Let’s bring our Bibles and hymn books since theirs are confiscated

Let us open the Bible together since they are not allowed to read the Word of God!

Let us glorify our God together with those in prison for the sake of us, since no power on earth, under earth or in the heavens is able to deny us the right to glorify our God in freedom!

Let us pray for those brothers and sister in power who are misusing the power to harm their people!

May God forgive them and May God release our people from the shackles of fear, torment, torture, war and fear of war!

May God restore our peoples in their dignity and their freedom to worship their God and respect each other!
