A Successful
Demonstration by Eritrean Americans Opposing the Regime in Eritrea
Representatives of many Eritrean political and civic organizations in
Seattle Washington staged a visible public demonstration against the
Eritrean dictator’s money extorting/raising meeting in Seattle that is
part of the all over campaign they call “Mekete”.
As has been widely reported, this is seen as do or die campaign to buy a
short life for the everyday dying dictatorship from Eritrean Diaspora,
however it is encountering the wrath of the Eritrean people with
questioning their warmongering and utter destruction of our country with
critical questions, challenging, and exposing PFDJ end of life efforts
by protesting the misguided mentality of the regime and staging open
demonstrations.
On Saturday 22nd of Dec Sophia Tesfamariam became the only
thing the dictatorship of Asmara can master to deliver to Seattle
American Eritreans, its war mongering messages, after all the worthy
members of the regime left the camp.
On the other side the everyday growing opposition came prepared with all
technologies of loud speakers and laptops blasting any brain or moral
left on the participants of the PFDJ meeting. Dimsi Meselna news, poems
and slogans was blasted across the street where the meeting was held.
The meeting started with an excitement as one Hasus PFDJ supporter
blinded by hate indoctrination of the dictator tried to intimidate the
protesters by crossing towards their position in front of the local
police car parked in the middle of the street. The police instantly
grabbed him, apprehended him made a full search of his body in front of
all the protesters and PFDJ supporters. This poor badly abused last hold
out of PFDJ forgot he lives in a peaceful country with a strong rule of
law, values and full rights of its citizens. On the contrary they try to
import the dictator’s brand of social destruction hence could not help
but expose their true colors by taking the futile dive for the dictator
to muzzle the rights of their nationals no matter where they happen to
reside.
The poor chap was made to sit in the police car while many of the regime
supporters begged and pleaded with the local police, may be lying that
the chap has mental problems.
Second excitement happened when the organizers tried to throw out some
one they thought did not fit their crowed. A comotion ensued on the
entrance of the hall and we saw the police ran towards the hall and an
Eritrean American yelling I am Eritrean who are this people to throw me
out from a public meeting for Eritreans. We immediately learned that he
was thrown out in the same style Amanuel and
Petros Baatai, were thrown out from the London meeting. He came
to the protesters side and stayed with the protesters where he is
welcomed with applauds.
As we gathered from those opposition members who went to hear what the
“Witch” Sophia has to say, she, sure is the newly found slave of policy
and strategy of war and destruction of the dictator. Her whole effort
and time has nothing to do with Eritrean people but against their well
being. She threw every word she thought could scare the participants of
a looming war, at the same time bashing policies of USA, Ethiopia and
other countries.
Nothing more or less but Sophia the true “Evil
Witch” of Eritrea who at the moment feels is her time after the
good of Eritrea, the life time fighters
of independence Haile Drue and comrades and of our heroes, are made to
disappear.
