A Short Note to ELF-RC Members and Supporters

A couple weeks ago, The Revolutionary Council (The Legislative Body), and the leadership of ELF-RC concluded with great success and more than any thing else in unison.  Their meeting was frank, transparent and detail with open criticism and self criticism.  This practice should make any member proud and give confidence to our people.  This delighted members and supporters as well as the general public, the silent majority if you will.  It has become evident the public has a lot of confidence in ELF-RC and as a result expects it to carry a significant share in establishing a democratic government in our country.

Lately, some negative postings started cropping up on the Eritrean websites mostly baseless and bogus.  Some are still posting in the name of "meseretat"?  Some of you are eager to respond and we understand that. However, it is better if The Nharnet Team and ELF-RC members do not respond in kind as it is not helpful in the march towards the main goal.

First of all, no matter what our enemies and ill wishers say in their disappointed spirit, the leadership showed its skill, patience and competence and so you do not need to worry about the fact that some individuals are trying to tarnish that image with their hateful and immature insults.  The previous EPLF, the PFDJ of today has taught us a lesson telling us that the "meseretat gesgesti ikum merihnetkum gn adharharti ".  Now, some people are trying to use it again forgetting that it is already trade marked.

Second, as it was announced earlier there is a committee dealing with the situation in Germany and we will defer to their results and the decision of the leadership. As they say 'Patience is a virtue'.

Third, members of other organizations have posted some self-serving analysis about our leadership and insulting criticisms about the whole organization using pen names mainly from Canada and Germany.  The only reason ELF-RC members are not responding in kind is to prevent the opposition camp from getting caught in the ugly inside fighting.  We are not sure they understand that is the main reason why the Alliance was formed to begin with.  Whether ELF-RC returns to ENA or not, the important thing is to respect one another and maintain a normalized working relationship.  Besides, they cannot make the organization return to ENA by insulting it, trashing its leadership and bashing its members.  The response will remain "NO TO BLACKMAIL".   Lastly, as they say, 'do not throw stone from a glass house', it is not to their benefit to start that kind of attack as the response will not be pleasant.

Members of RC will issue elaborations about some of the comments, specifically the charter paragraphs of the ENA mentioned in the concluding statement to the public.  Every one should understand that RC has the power to change policies and give new guidance to The Executive Committee and other delegates and can supersede any decision previously taken by any committee or delegation.  That is how it is in a democratic organization where there is checks and balances like in the ELF-RC.

The organization will continue with its programs,  new plans and tasks will be coming your way as soon as the Executive Committee is done with its planning sessions.  Let's focus on the main goal.  Any one who criticizes ELF-RC, ask them to show that their organization has done any better as 'action speaks louder than words'.  The point is not whether one is criticizing ELF-RC, it is rather what  one is doing towards achieving the goal.
