During her stay in the refugee camp, Mrs. Gergish met with Mai Ayni refugees and provided broad explanation with regard to the current conditions of both our country and our people, including the overall activities of Eritrean People’s Party. She also reminded women to join together to form women’s association and work towards solving their problems in a single voice. Following the visit, sources of Eritrean People’s Party said that a group of women has begun the task of organizing themselves to form a new women’s association in the refugee camp.

Mrs. Gergis had also paid a similar visit to Shimelba refugee camp in August 2008. During her visit, she met and held discussion with members of women’s association who had already formed their association.
