25 Eritrean Refugees Arrived in Ethiopia

In this week, July 2-7 2009, 25 Eritrean
refugees have fled their country and arrived in Northern Ethiopia. The
new refugees, 14 civilians and 11 soldiers, escaped the country and
entered Northern Ethiopia through the border town of Rama.
Of the 11 soldiers, 3 served as members
of the 11th Eritrean Army Division, 3 as members of the 36th, 3 as
member of the 16th, and 2 as members of the 22nd. In addition, one
female is reported to be among the 14 civilians.
In the past week, another group of 99
Eritrean refugees entered Northern Ethiopia using the same route.
